When I ran 2 hours for the first time (i'm a toddler runner!)
Short-Term Running Goals:
Hopefully to run 6 miles like I run 3 now.
Long-Term Running Goals:
To maintain great breathing and lung capacity and become a more self-aware and capable runner through continuity of running.
Personal:
I am on my own now after moving on from a very difficult relationship; running has offered me its companionship and I have happily obliged.

I did poorly today and am concerned about my running time. I am trying to train for the Bolder Boulder and need to push past 10 min miles! I hope to get better within 3 weeks! Ahh!
If you run every day, focusing on consistently getting out at least 6 days a week and not worrying about your pace, your pace will naturally go down. That's a promise :)
Welcome to the blog. I can tell you from experience that the first thing you need to do when start running is to start working on your aerobic training. Aerobic training is the basic of running, it is what you need to become a better runner. When I started training for half marathons I thought that I needed to speed up to have faster mile pace, but I was wrong. I am finding out that I needed to slow down and run the long runs at a slower pace. Because that is what helps to build your endurance. For example if you could run a nine minute mile in a race, your training time for running regular work outs should be at least 1 ½ to 2 minutes per mile slower. That is what helps build your aerobic workouts. Try doing a Google search for aerobic work outs and see what you think. So don't get disappointed because things are not looking good right now, because if you build your aerobic training things will get better.
I truly believe in you and no you will kick butt on the Bolder Boulder. You are very strong and focused on it and I dont know anyone else that is that passionate about running. I envy you love! No more stressing about it either!!!
I am not sure how your running is coming along. But I wanted to let you know that the advice I gave to you works. When I ran my race on Saturday, the last three miles were some what harder to run and I felt really good. So please do not give up, I know running slow is hard but the more miles you run the easier it gets.
